WITTON came away with their second 1-0 win this season this season, on a rainy and windswept Yorkshire coast at Whitby Town.
Skipper Rob Hopley had a great opportunity to put the Cheshire side ahead midway through the first half after latching onto Lewis Maloney’s misplaced ball. However, the hardworking number nine skied his attempted chip.
At the other end, Whitby’s Adam Gell felt he was barged to the ground in the Witton penalty area, but nothing was given.
