MERTHYR rolled into Farnborough for a Trophy repeat of their recent league fixture that sent both team’s seasons heading in opposite directions.
Back then, Merthyr bullied and cajoled their way to an ill-tempered 1-0 victory and were hoping to strong-arm their way into the next round.
This time, there was a bit more about the teams and Farnborough were quicker out of the blocks with an absolute pearler from Brandon Murphy-McVey on 21 minutes.
