AFTER their difficult midweek league game at Weymouth, a weary Salisbury still had enough to overcome East Thurrock.
After Bay Downing’s early cross shot was cleared off the line, on five minutes, further pressure saw Salisbury take the lead when the same player powered in a header.
After 22 minutes, the visitors had an escape when a Jake Wannell header was scrambled off the line.
East Thurrock equalised on 56 minutes with a swirling 22 yard drive from Ben Marlow, which gave Salisbury goalkeeper James Hillson little chance.
