CARSHALTON cruised past struggling Merstham to make it into the second qualifying round of the FA Trophy.
The Robins were in complete control and three goals to the good meaning the Moatsiders’ late strike was scant consolation for the travelling fans.
The match was played in awful conditions but the slick surface helped Carshalton take the lead as Christie Pattisson’s 20-yard drive zipped in on 18 minutes.
