CARSHALTON had to come from a goal down at the break in this local derby as two second-half goals were just enough to see off Tooting.
The Isthmian Division One Terrors claimed an Isthmian Premier scalp in the last round.
And an upset apeared to be on the cards again when Hady Gandour found the back of the hosts’ net on five minutes.
Tooting’s high-energy tempo restricted the Robins to two first-half shots on target, both of which were free-kicks straight at keeper James Shaw.
