MANAGER Ian Deakin insists “relentless” Long Eaton United do not need to choose between league and FA Vase glory.
Deakin took charge just before play stopped last season and the Blues have been imperious in Midland League Premier Division this term, drop-ping just two points in eight games.
United’s only defeat came from an 11th-hour strike as higher-ranked Hednesford Town ended their FA Cup challenge but they have kicked on in the FA Vase with back-to-back 4-1 wins, the second at lower-ranked Studley on Tuesday.
