■ STAINES won their first home Trophy tie since 2005 under the stewardship of Jack Porter, taking the side following Nick Woodham’s resignation last weekend.
Swans fans had to wait beyond 5.15pm before stand-in referee Neo Neophytou blew for time following a first-half delay for predecessor Sam Read’s ankle injury.
The game only came to life after 59 minutes when a mazy Pitt run ended with him firing into the bottom corner.
Eight minutes later Omar Watt set up Noah Amissah.
