Church rewarded for fine approach

ALVECHURCH cruised into the next round, playing some good football on the ground.
They were aided in their win by the bad luck that befell Bedford, as they were forced into two first-half substitutions and another immediately after the restart, as defenders Sam Dreyer (head) and Charley Sanders (hamstring) were both replaced either side of the opening goal.
Dreyer’s match lasted just 24 minutes, and in the 33rd minute, Jed Abbey juggled the ball in the Bedford area to smash home from close range.
