■ SUTTON Common Rovers inflicted more pain on struggling Merstham at Moatside.
The Moatsiders, who haven’t won for a month, were dumped out at the first hurdle after conceding three second-half goals.
After an even first half, Rovers took the lead after 48 minutes, Courtney Swaby scoring his first of the season.
Things rapidly deteriorated for Merstham as Commoners’ centre-back Antonio Simeone doubled the lead ten minutes later.
Merstham conceded a third goal with just over 20 minutes remaining, with Gabriel Odunaike on the scoresheet.
