GRANTHAM avenged last season’s FA Cup defeat to Rugby Town with a comfortable victory at Butlin Road.
The Gingerbreads took a 15th-minute lead after Rodrigo Goncalves robbed Kyle Burke before laying up Greg Smith for a neat low finish.
The visitors doubled their advantage seven minutes later when Luke Hindsley ran on to roll the ball past Hill.
Ryan Sahota’s acrobatic effort just before the interval represented Rugby’s best chance of the opening period, but Harry Olivant added a third for Grantham with a stooping head...
