SHEPPEY United nclaimed a hard-fought win over Sittingbourne at Holm Park to progress to the next round.
Both sides started well but struggled to create any meaningful opportunities capable of troubling either keeper in the opening exchanges.
The hosts grew into the game and found themselves ahead on the stroke of half-time courtesy of Jacob Lambert’s effort.
Sheppey were quickest out of the traps after the break and made the most of their bright start, doubling their lead in the 51st minute thanks to Josh Wisson’s strike.
