THERE was devastation at the vanEupen Arena as Newton Aycliffe won their second shoot-out of the season to secure their place in the hat and knock out Vauxhall Motors.
The visitors opened the scoring against the run of play with Cole Kiernan slotting past a helpless Jack Atkinson after Jake Petitjean’s lofted pass beat the offside trap. The woodwork then thwarted Motors on three separate occasions which left many feeling it was not to be their afternoon.
