WALSALL Wood booked their place in the next round of the competition with victory over visitors Stafford Rangers. And they did it with a two-goal blast in three firsthalf minutes before Rangers netted a late consolation. It was defender Ash Carter who fired Wood into the lead with a volley, with fellow summer recruit Nick Clayton-Phillips doubling the lead.
