ALTRINCHAM and Sutton United are the first teams through to the semi-finals of the inaugural National League Cup after contrasting victories on Tuesday night.
The Robins needed penalties to see off Newcastle United at Moss Lane, but there was no such drama at Sutton as they breezed past Manchester United 3-0, in front of a crowd of 1,729.
Justin Amaluzor was Altrincham’s hero with a dramatic last-minute equaliser after Newcastle had overturned an 2-0deficit inside the opening 10 minutes courtesy of goals from Kahrel Reddin and Kian Taylor.
