THE Combined Counties League has slated a Middlesex County FA decision which has blocked Hanworth Villa’s progress in its county cup. Hampton & Richmond
Borough beat Hanworth 2-1 in the quarter final of the Middlesex Senior Cup in February, but the National League South outfit were later thrown out for fielding a cup-tied player.
Hanworth were expected the tie to be awarded to them but after the county FA ruled that an “administrative error” had incurred, the Beavers were given a second bite of the cherry with the ordering of a replay.
