Chaotic scenes quickly followed the full-time whistle in Stockton Town’s FA Vase semi-final win over Ebac Northern League rivals Marske United.
Supporters invaded the pitch, jubilant players were raised up on their shoulders, while long-serving club captain Adam Nicholson and chairman Martin Hillerby were reduced to tears as the reality of what was to come sank in.
