TIVIDALE edged past Stafford Town in an entertaining game at Evans Park.
The visitors started on the front foot and should have taken the lead in the eighth minute when Lewis Probert missed with a free header.
The deadlock was broken five minutes later when a long throw from Darragh Bustin was headed home by Tividale centre-back Freddie Watts. Stafford started the second half brightly with Queenton Mananse seeing a shot blocked and a number of other chances.
