VAUXHALL Motors earned themselves a place in the First Round Proper of the FA Vase with a solid performance away at Cheadle Heath Nomads.
A goal either side of the break was enough to see them through, despite the home side’s late rally.
Nomads claimed the lion’s share of first half possession and were only denied the lead by a stunning save from visiting keeper Ryan Crump who tipped away Ashley Stott’s firm header after George Blackwell had curled in a pinpoint cross.
