RYLANDS’ FA Vase campaign came to an end in a nip-and-tuck game at Gorsey Lane as Grimsby Borough edged a close tie.
The game got off to a lively start with both sides creating chances in the damp conditions.
The early exchanges were positive with half-chances for Freddie Potter and Warren Gerrard in the first ten minutes for the home side and Louis Benrose for Borough.
