LOUIS Salter’s own goal decided a match in which efforts to score were unconvincing at both ends of the pitch.
Shots came but rarely troubled either keeper with Rico Alexander’s header for Wellingborough late in the first half as good as it got during the opening 45.
The second half continued in a similar vein until the breakthrough came 14 minutes from the end, helped by a substitute who had only been on the pitch for two minutes. Jack Empson was introduced and his cross was accidentally bundled in by Salter, prompting a City surge.
