AARON Lamont scored what proved to be the winner as Raynes Park Vale survived a late onslaught to advance in the FA Vase.
Skipper Reece Hannigan gave Vale a deserved lead just before the half hour, powering home a header from Jordan Gallagher’s left-wing corner.
The lead was doubled on 61 minutes. Ethon Archer’s pass inside the full-back released substitute Brad Sweeney down the right and although his shot was superbly saved by Larks’ keeper Aaron Wharton, Lamont capped an excellent game by heading in the rebound.
