A LATE Harry Grant effort was enough to give Combined Counties League Premier North title-chasers Ascot United a place in the last eight.
Grant settled a tight game of few chances 13 minutes from time with a deflected strike past the excellent home keeper Jake Viney.
Bridgwater, already decimated by injuries and suspensions, suffered a blow when losing centre back Jacob Spence just before the half hour by which time Viney had somehow kept out close range strikes from Brendan Matthew and Usman Lalustani.
