FORMER Doncaster Rovers, Walsall and Mansfield Town player James Baxendale has been appointed as the new manager of Northern Counties East Division One outfit Armthorpe Welfare.
Baxendale, who also turned out for Alfreton Town, Kidderminster Harriers, Worksop Town and Pontefract Collieries, where he had been player-coach for the past 12 months, fills the void left by the departure of manager and chairman Lee Morris who walked out along with his backroom team.
