ROMFORD won through against Stanway Pegasus but it ended up being more difficult than it should have been.
Leading 2-0 with an hour played, Boro then created enough opportunities to have won the tie several times over.
However, some vital saves by Pegasus keeper Sam Felgate had the home fans biting their nails when the visitors reduced the arrears through Callum Griff with 18 minutes left.
Stanway had the first chance when Sam Cripps' shot was pushed away by Jake Anderson on eight minutes.
