IT WAS a match of three penalties for Cheshunt – one not given, one saved and one scored.
Aveley opened the scoring late in the first half when Jordan Peart finished well with Cheshunt still disputing a penalty appeal when Lemar Johnson bought down Jason Hallett.
The Ambers had a chance to equalise before half-time from the spot but Johnson saved Liam Hope’s low strike. Cheshunt equalised with Tom Bruno’s spotkick, but Aveley snatched the points when Mason Bloomfield headed home unmarked.
