MATT Henman took charge of the Magpies for the last time after a distinguished nine years at the helm that saw Dereham rise from the Eastern Counties League.
Unfortunately it was not a happy send off for Henman.
Tilbury took the lead from a 36th minute corner which saw Conor Mead net from close range.
The Dockers then increased their advantage when substitute Reece Conway scored.
Two minutes later Ryan Crisp pulled a goal back for the Magpies and ten minutes later Tilbury were reduced to ten men when Arinse Vade picked up his second yellow.
