AFTER a troubling 2016-17 season, Weston-super-Mare could be one of the teams to beat in the upcoming National League South campaign, with this assured performance surely having some teams watching.
Aafter soaking up some pressure, the hosts took the lead in the 18th minute when Dayle Grubb finished well from the edge of the box after neat work down the right.
The Step 2 side doubled their lead less than ten minutes later when Tristan Plummer finished off a fine team move.
Grubb almost made it three before halftime, only to see his effort from distance bounce just wide.
