PLAYED in front of a tremendous crowd off 3,500, Havant & Waterlooville pushed League One Portsmouth all the way before losing to a late Brett Pitman goal at the sunny Westleigh Park.
Roarie Deacon, signed by Hawks boss Paul Doswell from old club Sutton, proved a huge hit on debut, cancelling out Gareth Evans’ earlier penalty before Pitman struck ten minutes from time.
