MERTHYR TOWN blew their visitors away with two goals in the first eight minutes of their Premier Division encounter, the home side using the 3G surface to good effect in a one-sided encounter.
Slick, fast passing resulted in Ian Traylor going down the right and crossing low for Gethyn Hill to touch the ball in at the near post with just 90 seconds on the clock, most fans having barely taken their seats in the stand.
And just seven minutes later their advantage was decisively doubled – and with some style.
