SCOTT RICKARDS knows just what it’s like to be the underdog – now he’s passing down the trait to his Atherstone Town giantkillers.
Rickards was part of the Tamworth side which made it all the way through to the 2002-03 FA Trophy final at Villa Park against all the odds.
Now he’s at it again as a manager, guiding the Midland League Division One side to the last 16 of the Vase thanks to a 1-0 win over 2017-18 runners-up Stockton Town.
