Champion trio forced to celebrate at home
NATIONAL League champions were fi nally popping the champagne corks this week – by jumping on Zoom calls!
The 2019-20 season was concluded on Wednesday using an unweighted points-per-game method as voted for by clubs.
It meant Barrow were crowned National League champions, ending their 48-year absence from the EFL, while King’s Lynn Town and Wealdstone went up in the North and South respectively.
But there were none of the usual trophy celebrations – just virtual parties on video calls among thrilled players and staff.
