NO SOONER had the final nail been driven into the Macclesfield Town coffin, had an exciting new era begun.
Expelled on Monday, reborn on Tuesday – Macclesfield Football Club is already on its way back.
Robert Smethurst, a successful local businessman, acquired the famous Moss Rose stadium and is planning to the town, even if Town isn’t in the name anymore.
