SHRIMPERS GIVE GILLS A TOUGH TEST

A SECOND-HALF header from Mikael Mandron handed League Two Gillingham victory at Southend United.
The Shrimpers started brightly at Roots Hall with Sam Dalby heading over and Callum Powell seeing a left footed shot blocked on the goal-line by Gills defender Elkan Baggott.
Tom Clifford and Oli Coker were then denied by Gillingham goalkeeper Jake Turner but Southend were unable to make their pressure tell.
