STAFFORD Rangers made their final Northern Premier preparations with victory over local rivals Hednesford Town, opening the scoring after just six minutes through striker Kaiman Anderson.
The visiting Pitmen thought they deserved a 25th minute penalty when Riley O’Sullivan looked to have been fouled inside the box but the referee waved away their appeals.
Anderson almost doubled his side’s lead before the break but his effort was this time met by goalkeeper Lewis Gwilliams, who duly kept the visitors in the match...
