DANNY LLOYD says the opportunity of linking up with former manager Jim Bentley once again at Southport was too good to turn down.
The 32-year-old has completed a return to the National League North club, 12 years after leaving Haig Avenue to embark on a stellar professional career with the likes of Stockport County, Peterborough, Salford City and Rochdale, where he played under Bentley.
“It was nice to meet all the lads and see a few familiar faces, plus, of course, it’s great to see the gaffer again,” Lloyd told the club’s website.
