I AM among the most people mentioned in the article in last week’s NLP in which FA chiefs were accused of being, and I quote, “out of touch and archaic” (April 2).
For me, until they clamp down on the players at the very top constantly screaming for red and yellow cards to be issued and continually crowding round the officials questioning decisions, then perhaps punishing the individual players rather than the clubs would lead to more respect been shown to the officials.
Maybe, the sport as a whole could learn from the respect shown in rugby league and union?
