CHRIS Holroyd may not have soothed any Macclesfield Town pain when he left the day after their FA Trophy final defeat, but his parting words should offer fans some comfort, writes Sam Elliott.
Wrexham-bound Holroyd, pictured left, turned down a new contract offer at Moss Rose to instead try his luck at Wrexham.
Both have been attempting to get into the National League play-offs for years with no end product – but he thinks there’s every chance that both can make the top five, or the top seven, if the league’s proposals are given the green light at Celtic Manor next month.
