WASHINGTON have survived to fight another day The Northern League outfit had resigned from the league because of lack of personnel to run the club.
But they have now withdrawn their resignation after more volunteers came forward to form a new administrative set-up.
The club were approached by local junior outfit Washington AFC, who run 48 teams.
The two clubs are now joining forces, although will remain nominally independent, with Washington AFC members taking over the main administrative roles, including the positions of chairman and secretary, of the senior side.
