CARETAKER boss Robbie Herrera threw his hat into the ring for the vacant Torquay United job following the departure of Kevin Nicholson.
The popular playermanager was dismissed on Thursday morning following the Gulls’ 4-2 defeat to Boreham Wood on Tuesday night that left the club with just one point from their opening four games.
Despite their slow start to the season, Nicholson is widely considered to have done a good job keeping the club in the National League amid problems at the club in recent seasons.
