STEVE Watson, assistant manager of Macclesfield Town, commented after the recent game against Sutton United in which he referred to them as a ‘pub team’. This deserves further explanation from him.
Maybe Steve was peeved that, after having scored an early goal, Sutton took control of the game and had at least 12 attempts on goal, including hitting the post, having a perfectly good goal disallowed for offside and a blatant penalty given as a free-kick on the edge of the box.
