JAMIE’S NOT READY

FORMER Blackburn Rovers and Accrington Stanley striker Jamie Clarke has quit as player-manager of United Counties League Premier outfit St Andrews after only three months in the job.
Clarke, 28, stood down after last Saturday’s 2-1 win over bottom-of-the-table Sleaford Town, courtesy of two own-goals.
He told officials at St Andrews, who in the summer moved sideways from the Midland League Premier Division, that he felt he was not ready for management.
