I WAS interested to read the musings from Bob ‘The Cat’ Bevan about the good old Amateur days over the summer.
In regards to Bob’s article about shamateurism in the 1950s Isthmian League (NLP, August 20), no-one has ever doubted that Corinthian Casuals (and probably Clapton) were genuinely amateur but it seems unlikely that extended to Dulwich Hamlet.
