CHESTER caretaker Tom Shaw says the new manager will inherit a talented squad – as former Solihull Moors boss Marcus Bignot threw his hat into the ring to replace the sacked Jon McCarthy.
The 47-year-old was let go by the National League club on Wednesday following their 2-0 defeat to Solihull Moors on Tuesday night that left the Blues in the relegation zone with one win from eight games.
Shaw, 30, became McCarthy’s player-assistant at the end of last season, but found himself in charge for yesterday’s game with Ebbsfleet United alongside Dave Felgate and Calum McIntyre.
