THE RISE of gambling alongside football has been huge, with virtually every professional club having a betting partner. Now companies are increasingly seeing an opening in Non-League, which has certainly had its problems in the relationship, with some cases of players caught betting illegally.
In the Bostik League, Betting.net have signed up to sponsor performance of the month and season-end Fair Play awards and it has presented Dulwich Hamlet with a dilemma. While they accept the need for fellow Bostik clubs to raise revenue wherever they can, they personally are against such sponsorship.
