TOM AMER, the man who saved Hellenic League outfit Carterton from extinction, has stood down after five years as chairman – and been replaced by club secretary Dave Morrison.
The Oxfordshire club won Division One West in 2015-16 and were promoted to the Premier Division.
However, they pulled out of the league in September 2016 after their manager quit along with several players, restarting in Division Two West the following season.
