IT has been suggested that some of the proceeds from the sale of Wembley Stadium go to ‘grass roots’ football.
That is all very well to make such grand verbal gestures but will any of the money actually go to local leagues or will the cut-off point be at county league level? I often wonder if the blazers at the FA know of the existence of local league football?
