GREAT to see Jonte Smith get a move into the Football League.
The striker has left Lewes to join League One side Oxford United. The 24-yearold’s record at the Dripping Pan speaks for itself with 56 goals in 121 appearances across two spells.
Manager Darren Freeman says the plan was to get the former Crawley Town striker back into League football and they’ve achieved just that.
He’s had to bide his time but it shows the value of playing, scoring goals and winning promotions – whatever the level.
