GAINSBOROUGH Trinity captain Liam King has cancelled his contract by mutual consent admitting he couldn’t receive a wage while injured.
The 31-year-old has been out of action since October with a serious back problem.
After suffering setbacks when trying to regain his fitness, King voluntarily discussed with chairman Richard Kane about terminating his deal with the club.
