TRURO CITY moved seven points clear of the drop with a crucial victory over struggling Oxford, who have one point from seven games this year.
Long-range strikes by loanees Ben Rowthorn and Dan Rooney gave the White Tigers one of their most important wins of a difficult season, even if their overall performance was not totally convincing.
Rowthorn gave them a 22ndminute lead with a terrific 25-yard strike into the top corner of Oxford keeper Steve Caro’s net.
