ATHERTON’S lead at the top of the table is now four points after they were held by Droylsden.
Neither side could break the deadlock in this hard-fought 0-0 draw at the Butchers Arms.
After a cagey first 30 minutes, the game opened up as Gregory Hartley saved with his feet from Sefton Gonzales Then Oli Roberts was denied by a fingertip save from Chris Thompson for Atherton, while Liam Caddick’s shot from the 12 yards was well kept out by the visitors.
